The LoCo Globe and all of my 3D printed maps are created using the free online software program TouchMapper.com. TouchMapper is an open source software program that provides tactile maps as aids for the blind and visually impaired. The raised, topographical textures of the map help orient the user North (with a little square at the North East corner) and away from dangerous obstacles such as water and traffic.
I use my local LCPL makerspace to print my 3D prints "in-house" but you can also order directly from the TouchMapper website.
